How can we care for scoliosis and kyphosis and spondylolisthesis better with conservative care like physical therapy, high-tech scoliosis braces, exercise and other techniques? What can be done to improve surgical care, and understand choices for surgery, learning from those around the world? How can we learn from aviation and from Deming's principles of "Standard Work" to constantly improve spine and all healthcare?

Horse back riding, equestrian competitions and other sports before and after scoliosis surgery
Yesterday we saw Sydney and her mom 1 year postop from her scoliosis surgery she had when she was 11. She shared her progress during her months after surgery, including returning to horse back riding at 7 weeks, and competitive riding thereafter. For the last 10 years, I've been working closely with high performance athletes to quickly and safely get them back to their sports --- swimming, dancing, cheer leading, lacrosse, tennis, baseball, football, basketball, equestrian, cross-country, body building..... and on and on.
She shares here about her return to competitive riding, and how she has actually improved her performance scores in competition with positive feedback on her by the judges with her improved posture and leveled shoulders on the horse!!
Here Sydney and her mom share a bit with some giggles!! :)
