Hey Clinic Tue Sep 11 2007 AM Surgery

This morning we helped a 56 yo gentleman who had previous lumbar laminectomies who had severe low back and radiating leg pain, and progressive trouble walking. His CT scan showed multilevel severe stenosis. He had multilevel discograms performed elsewhere which showed severe multilevel degeneration, worst at L5S1, L45 and L34. His stenosis was severe at multiple levels including L23.
Today he had a revision multilevel laminectomy decompression and Lumbo-Sacral-Iliac wing instrumentation ant fusion with TLIF.
He is now doing well on Duke Raleigh Orthopaedic Floor.
His surgery was 3 and a half hours.
Cell saver blood only.
